Happy Mother's Day...
It's a sweet gesture, one said without even thinking on this day, where moms everywhere hear it as they take a break (sometimes) from all those duties that come with this labor of love. Being a mom is a great honor from God that comes with very little instruction for how to mold the person you're raising. Nevertheless, you take the job on with great pride!
I'm the mother of three amazing hearts and lives God granted me the privilege to help mold and fill with love. Perfect by no stretch of the imagination, but wonderful human beings all the same.
My mom, hmm... she was an exceptionally courageous woman. I love her still. I miss her immensely. She taught me so much. We shared a friendship I will cherish for eternity.
Being a mom and having a great one, is not what this post is about.
Today I want you to think of the mother of that friend you lost. Yes, those moms who at some point during the Happy Mother's Day gesture, may have a thought not so happy. I want you to love on her. This is not a post of pity or sadness, but one to remind them that they are not alone or without the love that comes with this day. When you send out your gifts, greetings and gestures reach out to the mom who has greeted this day with courage and a smile.
Take her on a trip down memory lane of moments you've shared. Let her know how thankful you are for her raising such an awesome person who became your friend.
Her words still hold wisdom
Her hands still feed and mold
Her heart still heals
Let's send flowers for the forever love.
Happy Mother's Day to you all!
